Julia J. Grigsby

Julia Grigsby, 101, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born in Akron on Thursday, November 17, 1921 and graduated from Akron South High School in 1940. She lived in New Franklin (Manchester) over 60  years in the house her husband, Harold, built in 1952. Julia was a home-maker who enjoyed family outings, square-dancing, card games, traveling, shopping and collecting antiques. She was a caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husband, Harold, she is survived by her daughter, Carolyn S. Dyarmett; sons, Richard E. (Carol Coomer) Grigsby, Donald G. (Margaret) Grigsby,  Kenneth E. (Saundra) Grigsby, all of the Akron area; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 4, 2023 starting at Noon at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
