Kata Katanic

Kata Katanic, 89, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2021. She was born March 3, 1931 in Sombor, Yugoslavia. Kata was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church for many years. She loved her Lord and Savior. Kata enjoyed cooking, baking, and hosting friends and family at their home. She and her husband Stan loved gardening and sharing their harvest with others. Their love for others will be greatly missed.

Kata was preceded in death by her husband, Stan; daughter, Mira Katanic; granddaughter, Amanda Katanic and brother, Ljubomir Zarkovacki. She is survived by her sons, Mike (Esther), Sam (Diane), Paul (Alyssa), Stephen (Veronika); daughters, Denise (Rick) Mrdjanov, Slavica Stojanovic and Lela Pentsa; brothers, Jovan Zarkovacki, Milan (Ana) Zarkovacki; sisters, Vera Bozir, Persida (Ziva) Stelkic, Nada (Milan)  Spengler; 26 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  

Graveside services will be held at the Copley Cemetery on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11 a.m., Michael Mrdjanov officiating. All are welcome to attend.
