Kenneth R. Andrews

Kenneth R. Andrews, 86, peacefully left the cares of earth behind for his permanent eternal home, September 18, 2023. Born February 21, 1937, the son of Richard G. and Ruth (Kaylor) Andrews. Formerly of Elizabethtown, PA, he lived most of his adult life in the Akron, OH area.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1954 and from Elizabethtown area High School in 1955. Ken served in the U.S. Army and in the PA and OH National Guard.

For most of his adult life, Ken was a long-distance truck driver; for some years with his wife Donna. Together they saw a lot of the USA.

“Cowboy Ken” loved cowboy hats, cowboy boots and cowboy heroes as well as western shirts, western movies and country and western music. He also loved the lakes and ocean.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his beloved wife, Donna (Gravier) Fox-Andrews.

He will be greatly missed by his brother, Harold (Donna) Andrews; sister, Jane (Glenn) Sweigart; and many close extended family and friends.

He will always be remembered for his hard work, his sense of humor and his loving heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319 on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
