Kenneth D. Dye

Kenneth Daniel Dye, 80, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2020 after a valiant battle with Covid-19.  He was born October 14, 1940 to Orie and Laura Dye in Norton, Ohio where he was a lifelong resident.  He worked as a plumber for the SA Comunale Co. and was still employed as a plumbing inspector. He was a very hard and dedicated worker who in his free time enjoyed “glamping” with the Open Road Camping Club, visits with his friends at the donut shop and treasured time with his “little Bichon friends, Casey and Daisy. Ken was a treasured friend and loved to bless others all his life.  Together with his wife, Joan enjoyed a wonderfully blessed married life together for 44 years.

Ken was preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine Dye; parents, Orie and Laura Dye; 3 brothers, James, Richard, and Paul; and 3 sisters, Jean, Pauline, and Doris.  He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, Kenneth Dye Jr., Laura (Leo) Palevich, Richard McLaughlin, Timothy McLaughlin, Douglas (Lori) McLaughlin, Cindy (Tom) Cramer and Christopher (Kim) Ortiz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Seda, Corrine Willey, Evelyn Bietel Lewis; brother-in-law, Lynn Smart; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Private services have taken place, Pastor Bill Looman officiated. For the safety of the family and other guests, masks must be worn, and the number of people permitted in the building at a time will be limited. Your cooperation and patience are appreciated.
