Laura left the Earth on December 6, 2022 after a long struggle with drug addiction. She never asked to be an addict, it just happened after a surgery and prescribed pain pills.
Laura was a graduate of Kent State University and held various jobs in the Healthcare Industry.
Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Larry and Marian Yacovazzi and her cousin, Lauren Yacovazzi.  Laura leaves behind her husband, Joe, daughter, Gia and son, Gabriel.  Also, her mother, Georgann Palonder (Patrick) father, David Jenkins (Sue) and brother, Capt. David A. Jenkins USFA (Stacie), Aunts and Uncles, Carolyn & Larry Yacovazzi, Mark & Tiffany Yacovazzi and many cousins and friends.
Laura was born in Akron, Ohio on a snowy night of January 26, 1979. She attended Cuyahoga Falls and Stow schools. She briefly attended the University of Toledo and then continued at Kent State.  She loved her family and her pets. She had a caregiver’s heart and loved helping the elderly.  She had a gift for medical care and aspired to become a nurse or a doctor.
Thank you IBH for loving, helping and caring for Laura during rehab.  Drugs are a terrible scourge on our young people and greatly affects the family circle.  If you are suffering from addiction, our family begs you to seek help, it’s out there. And to pray to God that this evil is eliminated.
