Leroy D. Cook, 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio was called to heaven on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Lee was born on June 12, 1942, in Murphy, North Carolina to Robert and Evelyn Cook. He grew up with siblings Donald (deceased), Janice (deceased), Bernice (Jon Hunter) and Dorothy (Robert Brown) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1962 where he met the love of his life and wife of 57 years Kathleen Anderson. Lee attended college at Ohio University and Akron University and began his career in the tire industry at Goodyear. They settled in Akron, Ohio. He and Kathy moved to Memphis in 1983 where he worked as VP for Del-Nat Tire. He and Kathy were able to travel extensively during his career. Lee loved to golf, eat out and spend the weekends spoiling his grandkids. He returned to Akron in 2021 to reside at The Danbury, where he made numerous new friends. He was especially entertained sitting on his balcony with a view of one of the greens at Brookledge Golf Course. 

Lee was a generous and loving father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his daughter Amy Vaccaro (Mark), son Jeffrey (Karen), grandchildren Keith Vaccaro (Victoria), Jared and Ryan Cook, great-grandchild Emily Vaccaro, numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Norton), 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. The Memorial Service will be held after the visitation and starts at 3:00 pm with Aidan Finn of Grace Church officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to one of his passions www.toysfortots.org
