Lillian M. DeLaura, with her family by her side, died peacefully January 29, 2010 after a short illness. Born in Akron on May 4, 1918, she lived here most of her life She retired from the Summit County Title Bureau after 24 years of service and belonged to St. Martha Church, Sons of Herman and Summit Co. Democratic Party. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Cosmo DeLaura; mother and step-father, Pauline and Josef Bialy; father, Harry Schismenos; and brother, Leo Schismenos. She leaves behind her loving family of daughters, Jacquelyn (Albert) Caiola and Deborah (Joe) Archual; sons, Robert, Gregory (Michelle) and William; beloved grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) and Michelle (Jason Koh) Caiola, Christina, Jason (Katie), Jeremy and Jonathon Archual and Jessica (Brett) Bolyard; great-grandchildren, Brennan Durr, Lia, Naomi and Lucian Koh, Corey and Kasey Bolyard; a very dear and special friend, Roxy Detello; and many other wonderful friends, relatives and co-workers. "Some people come into our lives and quietly go, others stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same." Dear Mom, Our eternal gratitude for teaching us the good, responsible and virtuous life. Our love and prayers are always with you. Keep dancing. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:30 am at Blessed Trinity Church (formally St. Martha Parish), 300 E. Tallmadge Avenue, Akron. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Main Street, Akron. Lillian's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
