Our family lost one of our most beloved members on February 14, 2022, when Linda Wilson passed away peacefully in Blairstown, NJ, after a long illness. In addition to her husband, Charles, Linda’s survivors include their children, Beth, Pete, and Adele, her two brothers, Edward and Chris, and 10 grandchildren.
Born May 15, 1947, Linda was a lifelong believer in education. A graduate of Notre Dame College, she went on to earn her Master’s degree from George Washington University while she worked fulltime as a high school special education administrator. Holding firmly that travel is a wonderful teacher, Linda spent two decades learning to acclimate to different cultures and speaking foreign languages as she supported her husband’s military career, which took them both around the world. In her teaching capacity, Linda touched many lives, but she most loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Linda will be remembered for her innate sweetness and unfailing kindness, with a soft spot for little animals. Strong and gracious, she was deeply wise, asking us all to heed the “better angels of our nature” and never failing to do so herself. Though she lives on in our hearts, she will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to say goodbye and visit with Linda's family on Sunday, February 20th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron. Her burial will be held the following day, Monday, February 21st, with Mass at St. Anthony church in Akron, at 10 a.m. followed by interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
You are invited to www.moorefh.com to view Linda's tribute wall, offer condolences and share memories.
