Loretta "Lori" M. Pinkston

Loretta "Lori" Margaret Pinkston, 79, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born on Wednesday, September 2, 1942 in Lenoir, North Carolina to the late Carl and Pansy (Robbins) Hayes and lived in the Akron area all of her life. She was a faithful member of Community Church of Portage Lakes and enjoyed movies, hiking, and canines.

Along with her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Chet "Pinky" Pinkston; daughter, Sandra Tandarich; and brother, Jerry Hayes.  She is survived by her son, Brian Tandarich; daughter, Paula (John) Miller; grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Rusty Miller; brothers, Frank (Judy) Hayes, Wayne (Rita) Hayes; stepchildren, Vickie (Roger) Stalnaker; Patty Pinkston, and Tammy (Dan) LaGuardia; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express special thanks to Legacy Living for all the wonderful care they've shown to Lori over the past three years.

The family will greet friends at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron OH 44319 on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087, in memory of Loretta Pinkston.
