Madge Louise Gainer

Madge Gainer, 88, loving mother, was blessed with a peaceful passing on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Madge was born Sunday, September 16, 1934 to the late Emery and Velma (Somerville) Pursley in Spencer, West Virginia, and lived in the Wadsworth area. She was retired from Sears as a sales associate. Madge loved games, was an avid hand and foot player, liked dominoes, and loved spending time with her family. She loved to travel and lead a life of dignity. Her example and lessons will live on in her grandchildren and future generations.

In addition to her parents, Madge is united in death with her husband, Francis Lane Gainer, brother, Jim (Virginia) Pursley, brother, Roy Pursley, and great-grandson, Gunnar Parrill. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (John) Fletcher, Kathy (Barry) Rollins; son, Rod (Bonnie) Parrill; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Terrie Carpenter, Janet Wisor, and Brenda Roberts; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2023, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. Madge's final resting place will be Rose Hill Burial Park.
