Marco V. Blasio, 88, passed away Feb. 10, 2008. Born on March 18, 1919 to the late Erasmo and Mary (Ninni) Blasio, Marco lived in FL for 18 years moving back to Akron in 1997. He was a member of St. Anthony Church and worked for the City of Akron as a stone cutter retiring in 1981. He served in the US Army during World War II. Along with his parents Marco is preceded in death by wives, Edith and Bernice; brothers, Vito and Joseph Blasio; sisters, Rose Lapinski, Camille Compatore and Jennie Hillyard; He is survived by his son, Lawrence (Adriana) Blasio; step-daughter, Diane (Paul) Kodish; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Domenica Balogh; brother, Anthony Blasio; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 am at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Marco's final resting place and military rites will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
