Margaret G. Hopkins

Margaret Hopkins, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was born on Thursday, May 2, 1940 in Barberton, Ohio to the late George  and Esther (Goodall) High. Margaret was very active in the church at both St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Wadsworth United Methodist Church. She enjoyed golf, bowling, playing cards and watching the birds. Margaret had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wilbur Leon Hopkins; siblings, Jack High,  Daniel High; Catherine Warren, and Glenn High.  She is survived by her three sons, Mike (Kim) Hopkins, Paul (Connie) Hopkins, Gary (Kerri) Hopkins; daughter, Terri (Allen) Mandel; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Terry) Fallick; sister-in-laws, Doni High and Shirley High; and many other loving family and friends.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, 4th floor nursing staff, the Cleveland Clinic Hospice and Bath Creek Estates for the loving care shown to their mother.

The family will greet friends at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 4, 2022. Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation, in memory of Margaret Hopkins.
