Marian Miller

Marian Miller, 82, passed away on July 31, 2018.  She was born July 31, 1936 in Coventry Township to the late Olin and Marie Richards.  Marian worked as a secretary for Firestone Tire and Rubber, retiring after 30 years of service.  She was a member of St. Frances de Sales Parish. She was an extraordinary quilter. Together, Marian and Dick traveled throughout the United States.  She was an exceptional golfer, and loved golfing with her husband, and attending the Cleveland Indians spring training, even when they went to Arizona! She loved spending time with family.  Marian was compassionate, caring, loving and faithful and will be deeply missed.                                               

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori (Tim) Hornbeck, and brother, Lee Richards.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard; daughter, Connie Hornbeck; sisters, Dodie Bailey, Patricia (Ed) Croft, and Peggy Richards; grandchildren, Tyler (Jamie) Hornbeck, Timothy (Nickole) Hornbeck and great-granddaughter, Rae.

Friends may come to the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron on Saturday, August 4, 2018, where prayers will be offered at 10 am. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN  38105-9959, in memory of Marian.
