Marie Modugno

Marie D. Modugno, 90, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Marie was born in Akron, Ohio, to the late James and Priscilla (Violante) Esposito and lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area most of her life. In her youth, she was a classically trained pianist. She was an active member of the Leaf and Blossom Garden Club, Garden Forum of Greater Akron, and Garden Club of Ohio.  She enjoyed cards and camaraderie with the Anniversary Club.  She was a 10 year choir member at St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of IHM.
In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, John Modugno.  She is survived by son, Michael (Gary Reams) Modugno; daughter, Carmela (Jon) Hapanowicz; grandchildren, Adrienne, Elise, Owen, and Grace Hapanowicz; and many loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 11:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Cuyahoga Falls.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.).  Marie's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
