Marilyn Catherine Davis RN

Marilyn Davis RN was born in Akron Ohio March 25, 1952 to Roy and Helen Mae Latham Hunt. She resided in Mogadore the past 25 years. She was a graduate of Akron General School of Nursing, class of 1973 and worked 27 years at Edwin Shaw Hospital. Marilyn was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church, a devoted Catholic who prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed fishing and her time at Walburn Lake and Mogadore Reservoir. She loved all sports, especially the Browns, Cavs and Indians and enjoyed playing Bridge. She was also an auxiliary member of VFW 8487 in Mogadore. Marilyn was a very loyal sister and friend who was always there in times of need. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Helen Hunt; sister, Alice Ambriola; father-in-law, Earl Davis; and brother-in-law, Kenny Davis. She is survived by beloved husband of 24 years, Gary; her constant companion, her dog Angie; sisters, Joyce (Jon) McMillen and Barb (Tim) McCoy; brother, John (Susan) Hunt; mother-in-law, Helen Davis; brother-in-laws, Joe Ambriola, Ernie (Patty) Davis, Wesley (Joan) Davis; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Brad) Roberts; step children, Sherrie and Rob Williams and Gary and Nicole Davis; and also countless other family members and friends. A special thanks to Rev. Father Kracker, Paula Carter and Carol Adolph for all they have done for Marilyn and Gary these past few months. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10:30 am at St. Vincent Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Marilyn's final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Portage Co. Humane Society.
