In His Everlasting Arms

Holy Spirit descend on us today

Keep us in Thy care we pray.

Help us Thy will to discern

That we may know which way to turn.

Holy Spirit guide my daily walk

Teach my tongue of Thee to talk.

Holy Spirit descend on us like a dove

That our faces will shine with Thy love.

Holy Spirit protect us from all wrong

Marsha Gail Cross passed from this life into eternal life and into the light of His glorious presence to live with the Lord she loved forever. Psalm 16:11 In His presence is fullness of joy. She went to heaven on August 10, 2018, at age 80. She was born November 10, 1937.

Marsha is survived by her two sons, Mark (Debra) and David (Peggy); six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandparents.

Since she was two years old she attended Lockwood United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, Cherub Choir and played the piano and pipe organ.

Her favorite Bible verses were: Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith, without wavering, for He is faithful that promised. Isaiah 26:3 Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusteth in Thee.

Her favorite song was “O Jesus, I Have Promised”

O Jesus, I have promised

To serve Thee to the end

Be Thou forever near me,

my Master and my Friend.

I shall not fear the battle

If thou art by my side

Nor wander from the pathway

If Thou wilt be my guide.

O Jesus, Thou has promised

To all who follow Thee,

That where Thou art in glory,

There shall Thy servant be;

And, Jesus, I have promised

To serve Thee to the end,

O give me grace to follow,

My Master and my Friend.

She thanks her sons and all those who have been so “special” to her during the years, to her friend who gave her help, kindness, compassion, and love. God bless you all.

Psalm 86:12 I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart and I will glorify Thy name forevermore.

Jesus loves me! He will stay close beside me all the way; He has prepared a home for me, and someday His face I’ll see, and in His everlasting arms will be.

Romans 11:36 To Him be glory forever. Amen.

A funeral service will be held at Lockwood United Methodist Church, 3680 Manchester Rd. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dale Gharky officiating. Friends and family may call one-hour prior. Interment at Lockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lockwood United Methodist Church, in memory of Marsha.
