Mary A. Ilijevich

Mary Ilijevich, nee Taormina passed away at her home June 21, 2008. Mary was born in Palermo, Sicily to the late Mariano and Giovanna (LoPiccolo) Taormina. She was a lifetime homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was also a member of Queen of Heaven Church. Mary was a great cook and would also help anyone in need in any way she could. She never met a stranger. Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George who passed away in 1995; and brother, Joseph Taormina. She is survived by her son, George (Sharon); daughters, Maria (Danny) Tricaso, JoAnne Ilijevich and Sue (Bob) Rathbun; grandchildren, Cara (Bobby), Bobby (Joely), Lisa, Michael, Jenna and Joanna; great-grand children, Ashlee, Kenny, Aidan and Noah; special friends, Cindy Groff, Angie Lavis, and Donna Itzoe; and many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Green, OH. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Mary's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
