Mary Jo Liska

Mary Jo Liska, 81, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023.

She was born in Akron, OH. on April 6, 1942, the only child to the late Charles and Gertrude (Vaughan) Richmond and lived in Akron for most of her life. She was employed by Akron Children's Hospital in various positions for over 40 years. She was a sweet soul with a fierce streak when loved ones or people she cared for needed her help and support, and she had a special knack for giving sage advice. She was an amazing and special daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jo is preceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, William J. Liska. She is survived by her sons, William (Jeanann), Michael (Tony) and David (Darlene); grandchildren, Courtney (Jeremy), Cassandra (Jason), Kaitlin, Jamie, Kaela and Amanda; great-grandsons, Asher and Samuel; special friends, Steve and Diane Bradford, Annette Wilson, Joyce Burton and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron,Ohio 44310 (Corner of Mildred and N. Main). Mary Jo's committal service will be Friday, May 12, 2023 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.
