Mary Louise Taylor

Mary Louise Taylor, 98, loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Mary was born Wednesday, March 19, 1924 to the late Harold and Thelma (Talbott) Queen and lived in the Akron area most of her life. She worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. as Rosie the Riveter during World War II and was a faithful member of Goss Memorial Church for many years and the Pioneer Girls.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Taylor; daughter, Barbara Whitworth; and sisters, Cora Rowland and Joanne McKnight.  She is survived by her son, Kenneth Taylor; grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie (Darren), Stuart, and Stacy; great-grandson, Whit; and many other loving family and friends.

Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Fund at Goss Memorial Church, 2247 11th St SW, Akron, OH 44314.
