Merle Plummer, 83, passed away April 3, 2009. Merle was born in Waterford, PA to the late David and Margaret (Iscrupe) Plummer. Merle was a CB in the US Navy during World War II. He was an Iron Worker working out of Local 17 in Cleveland and was a member of the Ralph Huff VFW Post 1062, the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 and the Polish American Club. Merle is preceded in death by his wife, Neoma and granddaughter, Tonya Muir. He is survived by his children, Regina (Frank) Yount, Wanda (Terry) Orms and Helen (Steve) Ball; grandchildren, Andy Yount, Holly (Larry) Debar and Jessica (Stevie) Hall; great-grandchildren, Toby, Courtney, Triston, Shyenne, Colton and Bryson; brother Paul Plummer; sisters, Martha Knupp, Betty Ament and Bertha Claycomb. Procession will be start from the HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON on Tuesday, 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Merle's final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park with military rites conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
