Michael P. Stevenson

Michael P. Stevenson went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2021 due to an accident in Ft. Pierce, Florida. He was born in Akron, Ohio, graduated from Barberton High School and NBC Technical School. He lived most of his life in the Barberton/Akron area and resided in Florida the last few years.

Anyone who knew Michael (Mike) will always remember the contagious smile that he had. He will be remembered for so many things... his charming personality, his work ethic (he sure knew how to work hard), his love for his family and his love for Ohio Sports...especially the Cleveland Browns...I mean come on, he ate a dog biscuit one year when the Browns beat the Steelers, LOL!

Those close to Mike knew that he had endured some struggles in life but it never took that smile off his face, when asked he would always say “ I am ok”, “don’t worry, I am alright” and we know for a fact that he can boldly proclaim those statements now in Glory! We as a family take great comfort in the fact that he is now in Heaven alongside the Lord and the other family members that have gone before him.

Mike, until we meet again...know that we love you and you will be missed dearly. We will be ok as we unite together as a family and remember all of our wonderful memories of you. As always Mike...GO BROWNS!!

Michael is survived by his father, Keith (Delores) Stevenson; mother, Alana (Danny) Evans; son, Jonathan Stevenson; brother, David (Danielle) Stevenson; sisters, Laurie (Kent) Shively, Christy (Rick) Scheck; step brothers, Jeff McCulley, Michael McCulley, Dan (Cheryl) Stanley, Craig Stanley; cousins , Tim, Debbie, Jeff Jr., Angie, Tina; nieces, Tara Cogan, Molly (Tommy) French, Sarah Stevenson, Kylee Stevenson; nephew, David Stevenson and a special friend, Kayla.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Private services will be held. Cremation has taken place.  PLEASE WEAR YOUR CLEVELAND BROWNS GEAR IN MEMORY OF MIKE.
