Nancy Farkasofsky

Nancy Farkasofsky, 73, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 12, 2022. She was born Monday, September 13, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to her loving parents Emil and Anne (Habil) Meixner. She was a faithful member of the Massillon Congregation of the New Apostolic Church, and had a lifelong love of doing arts and crafts. Most recently she found a new joy in gardening.
      Nancy grew up in Seven Hills, Ohio and lived there until she married the love of her life, and together, they moved to Colorado. There, they raised two children and after 17 years, they returned to Ohio, residing in Norton.
      She was a very active volunteer throughout her life. She especially enjoyed volunteering for her children’s elementary school where she worked closely with the art teacher. Together, with others, they painted beautiful murals of Native American culture throughout the school. She also loved her time volunteering in politics, helping with local campaigns. She also played the organ for the church and volunteered for many years at Stan Hywet Hall. 
      She is survived by her husband, Gerald J. Farkasofsky; son, Gerald M. "Butch" Farkasofsky (Beth); daughter, Amanda (Larry) Cox; grandchildren, Matthew Cox, Shaun (Veronica) Cox, Joseph (Paige) Farfasofsky; and many other loving family and friends.
      The family will greet friends at New Apostolic Church, 850 8th St., NE, Massillon, OH 44646 on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Apostolic Church, 850 8th St., NE, Massillon, Oh  in memory of Nancy Farkasofsky.
