Nancy J. Purtan

Nancy J. Purtan, 83, passed away on January 18, 2022. She was born August 10, 1938 in Norton, Ohio to the late August and Lillian Schlauch. She retired as a secretary from Akron Musicians Union and she is now playing the slot machines in the casino in the sky. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edward; and sister, Phyllis “June” Kyle. Nancy is survived by her children, Bill (Peggy), Juli (Jimi), Eric (Michelle), Traci; grandchildren, Billy (Lori), Erica (Paul), Rachel (Mike), Mathew (Melissa), Dustin (Emma), Mackenzie (Brendan); great-grandchildren, Faith, Mikey, Madison, Lila, Brendan, Jayden, Carter, Skylynn, Aria, Jace, Saylor; sisters, Pat Lindeman, Sandy Schlauch, Paula Schlauch-McClurg.

Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
