Nellie E. Shumaker

Nellie E. Shumaker, 92, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was born on Wednesday, April 29, 1931 in Limestone, Pennsylvania to the late Peter and Anna (Ausachuk) Repoff. She graduated from Clarion/Limestone High School in Limestone and retired after 30 years of service from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, working in the Records Center. Nellie enjoyed traveling and caring for her plants after retirement.

Nellie was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Arlie, Fred, Joseph, Paul and Nicholas; and sisters, Mamie, Kathleen, Helen, Mary and Ruth. 

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Earl Shumaker; son, Randy (Jody) Shumaker; grandchildren, Brent (Megan), Ryan (Angela); great-grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Elise, Eliana and Mason; sister, Dorothy Hollobaugh; and many other loving family and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Greenview Assisted Living for all their great care, and also to the staff at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.

Cremation has taken place and per her wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA, in memory of Nellie Shumaker.
