Nona M. Barath

Nona M. Barath, 87, loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024.
Nona was born Thursday, July 16, 1936 to the late Clarence and Lucy (Snyder) Doble and lived in the Akron area most of her life. She was a past member of the Daughters of the Revolution and the Mayflower Society (direct descendent) and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Nona was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Barath; grandson, Tanner House; sisters, Violet Doble, Bernice Doble, Katherine Sisson, Pauline Zacher, and Charlotte Winkleman; and brother, Paul Doble.  She is survived by her son, Michael (Lynda) Barath; daughters, Tammy (Bret) House, and Karen Distelhorst; grandchildren, Alyssa (Brandon) Neidert, Shawn Barath, Nicholas (Karlee) House, Anna (Max) Medlock, Lauren Distelhorst, Daniel Distelhorst, and Justin (Mandy) House; granddaughter-in-law, Claire House; nieces, Judy Keil, Arlene Gilmore, and Becky Oberst; nephews, David (Beverly) Zacher and Lenny Zacher; and many other loving family and friends.
Memorial Service will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Nona's final resting place will be Rose Hill Burial Park, with a private burial held at the convenience of the family.
