Norma Jean Hoxworth

Norma Jean Hoxworth (Hayes), 79, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, and is now in the presence of Jesus. Norma was born December 21, 1942 to the late Fred and Anne Hayes (Mesaros). She graduated from East High School in 1960. Norma retired from Quality Synthetic Rubber after many years working final inspection. She spent most of her life in Kenmore where she raised 3 boys with her former husband, the late Dean Hoxworth. She was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, enjoyed vacationing with family and friends, and filled her house with pictures of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Freda Doutt. Norma is survived by her sister, Marilyn Tallman; sons, Guy (Lori) Hoxworth, Norman (Tina) Hoxworth and Christopher (Julie) Hoxworth. Norma is also survived by her grandchildren, Todd (Maria) Aunger Jr, Sierra Hoxworth, Aaron (Jena) Hoxworth, Neil Hoxworth, Brandon Hoxworth, Tyler Hoxworth and Madison Hoxworth; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mia, Sophia, and Emma Aunger, and Riley Hoxworth.

A special thank you to the staff of St. Luke Lutheran of North Canton, and Community Hospice for their care of Norma over the last few years.

Family and friends can visit on Saturday November 19 from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319 with a service beginning at 5:00 pm with Pastor Ernie Kemppel officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate to St. Luke Lutheran Home.
