Olin S. Tate

Olin S. Tate "Olie", 83, went to be with his wife, Lee, June 13, 2009. Olie lived in the North Hill area 51 years but in the Akron area most of his life and served in the US Navy during World War II. He loved playing cards with the Arby's Card Group, fishing and sending emails and pictures from his computer to his family and friends. Olie is preceded in death by his wife, Lee; parents, Thomas and Winnie Tate; and sisters, Quinn Freed and Nellie Foister. He is survived by his children, Joni (Van) Reynolds and Tom (Kelly) Tate; granddaughter, Kristin; and great-grandson, Trentin; and many other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be Thursday, 10:00 am at the Tallmadge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
