Pauline "Polly" Rose DeAngelo, 97, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Jan. 18, 2010. Polly has a wonderful spirit always giving a kind word to everyone she new and met. Polly was born in Akron to the late Vincent "James" and Anna (Voi) Pisciotta. She lived in Akron and Stow areas all her life and worked for DeVita's Market for 30 years retiring in 1985 and Goodyear Aerospace for 1 year. She was also a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Along with her parents, Polly is preceded in death by her husband, James; sisters, Jeno (Pete) Guarino, Danny (James) Brown and Francie Pugh; brothers, Tom and Phillip Pisciotta. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Susan) and Jim (Lillian) DeAngelo; brother, Joe (Cassie) Pisciotta; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Connie and Frances Pisciotta; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend a personal thank-you to all of Polly's friends at Stow Glen Health Care Center for all their loving care and support. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 am at the Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, Akron. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Polly's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
