Raphael Rubino

On June 24, 1925 in Billings, Montana the sixth child of sixteen children was born to Nazarrio and Maria Schieno. Her name was Rafiala. In 1942 Raphael as she is called today came to Akron with her husband and started their family. They had four children. There came a time when all the responsibility fell upon her to raise the children and she did not falter. She led and taught them by example demonstrating continually with a strong work ethic, honesty, respect, and compassion. After raising her children she met and married Clarence Rubino in 1983. They had a rich and happy life together but sadly Clarence died in 1988. After his death mom enjoyed her independence meeting with her friends to play cards and fix great food. She was always ready to have lunch or dinner with her children at a moments notice. Holidays were always special. On September 27, 2009 at the age of 84 mom died with all her children and family at her side. She loved unconditionally and had no favorites, always ready to help no matter the situation. She had little and gave much. She was exceptional. She is survived by her three sons; George A. Seabeck (Linda), Earl R. Seabeck (Betty), Edward L. Seabeck (Suzanne), daughter; Marilyn Brown (Russ), seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, sister Mary McKinney (Bob), and brother Louis in Billings, Montana. At her request there will be no calling hours and burial has taken place, but if you wish to express remembrance, send a gift in her name to Saint Martha Parish at 300 East Tallmadge Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44310.
