Ray Robinson

Ray Robinson, 86, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Raymond was born Friday, April 17, 1936 to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Daniels) Robinson and lived in the Akron area all of his life. He worked for The City of Stow as the Director of Urban Planning. Ray was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He was a lifeguard, leader of big adventures, great builder of snow forts and sandcastles.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Frank Robinson.  He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Greg Robinson, Raymond Robinson, III; daughter, Katrin Robinson; brothers, Jerry (Kathy) Robinson, Larry (Gloria) Robinson; sister, Kathleen Daugherty; 8 grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 6, 2023 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319, with Rev. Jeremy Merzweiler officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319.
