Richard L. Wages

Richard L.Wages, 83, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2022. 

Richard was born on Sunday, February 5, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to the late Vernon and Florence (Keck) Wages. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Richard enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Anne Wages, brother, Adrian; sister, Esther "Yvonie" Older; and brothers-in-law, Bill Hewett and Harold and Jimmy Oast.  He is survived by his daughters, Maria Wages, and Nicole Martin; brothers, Derle (Emma) Wages and Aurbey (Carol) Wages; sisters, Joyce Hewett, Cheryl (Lee) Gerish; sisters-in-law, Linda and Janet Oast, and Janet Livengood; grandson, Zachery Vargo; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, Ohio 44319 on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Dean Foster officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
