Guestbook

Eric and Eileen, we are so very sorry for your loss, but rejoicing in Heaven's gain. You probably don't remember me, but I was your babysitter from way back. My parents, Fred and Linda Patton were friends for over 60 years and I considered Shirley and him my godparents! They would play cards (Euchre) until the wee hours of the morning and your dad's voice is one I will always remember. Your dad went to Akron U with mine, went to church together, worked at Firestone together, golfed together and so much more. My mom Linda would always visit when in town and he would be so gracious to take her to dinner and catch up on the "kids." We were in town last summer and tried to get up with him, but he was not feeling well. My mom called around Christmas and they chatted for quite a while. We have tried to call several times with no response and I had this sinking feeling when mom said she wanted to try to reach him. Bobbie, we send our deepest condolences and pray for God's great peace and comfort to sustain you. Don was a dear friend, the kindest and noblest of men. We loved him very much!

Eric and Eileen, I have so many precious memories of your dad. Uncle Don was a great man. He had such a way with telling stories. I fondly remember all the Christmas Eves, summers at Loyal Oak, and spending time with all the Hills, especially when they they got into passionate political discussions! :) I like to think of your dad joining mine , your mom, Aunt Gerry and Uncle Daryl, Aunt June, Papaw and Mamaw and enjoying some good laughs and singing! Praying that you will have the peace and comfort that only God provides.Much love to you!

Riley will be sorely missed - loved his singing with the Gate City Four and talking with him on several occasions. Good news is that we know where he is singing now. May our great God pour his love and compassion over the whole family and his friends.

We have been blessed to have Don as a part of our family for the past 17 years. He was the constant companion my mom needed while we were so far away. He loved us as part of his own. We will deeply miss having him at our dinner table and the fellowship we enjoyed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mom and Eric.
