Rita M. Baye

Rita M. Nolan Crano Baye, 83, born December 19, 1924, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, Dec. 10, 2008 after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Rita brought joy to everyone that new her with her quick wit and loving personality. She loved animals, bowling and playing Euchre. She had a tremendous passion for American Veterans. She would crochet afghans and donate them to the Brecksville Veterans Hospital. She was an active member of American Legion Post 611 and was a Past Aux. President. Rita is preceded in death by parents John Nolan of Ill and Agnes Shessler of OH; brothers, Paul and Thomas Nolan; and sisters, Irene Milby and Doris Hodgson. Rita is survived by her grandnephews, Robert and Keith Hodgson; grandniece, Karen Mitchell; special friends, Eleanor Crme and Keith Dobbins. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held Dec. 19, from 2 to 5 pm at the American Legion Post 281, 1601 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, 4221 with a prayer service at 3:00 pm.
