Rita Wise

Rita M. Wise (nee Guistino), 82, passed away July 25 with her family by her side.
Rita was a lifelong resident of Akron and retired from the Summit County Title Bureau.
Rita lived life to the fullest.  She enjoyed watching a variety of sports, traveling, bowling, trips to the casino, spending time with her friends playing cards and bunko, going to luncheons at church and with her North High Alumni friends, dinner with her cousins, watching General Hospital (even up until the end) and most of all spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She was a longtime member of Blessed Trinity (formerly St. Martha’s) where she enjoyed singing on the choir.
Along with her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wise.  She is survived by her children, John (Jim Svagerko) Wise, Anne Marie Wise, Paul Wise, Jr., and Nicole (Rino) Ricchiuti; grandchildren, Giustina, Luca, and Milena Ricchiuti, and Piper Wise; brothers, Frank, Joe (Gina), and Ross (Terrie) Guistino; brothers-in-law, Larry (Camille), Ed (Fran), Bill (Donna), and Ken (Debbie) Wise; sisters-in-law, Anne (Bill) Bickett, Alyce (Tom) Wagner, Betsy Wise, and Karen Guistino;  and many other loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 300 East Tallmadge Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44310. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.). Due to the current situation with the COVID virus, the family requests all visitors to wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State University Cancer Research Institute via Pelotonia.org or the Carl & Josie Scarpitti Foundation (266 East Michigan Ave. Sebring, Ohio 44672).
