Robert Francis Hammond

Robert F Hammond, 82, passed away February 4, 2009. Robert was born in Paris, Maine. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a molder for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. retiring in 1988. He loved camping and woodworking and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Robert is preceded in death by his wife Nora Jane; parents; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Eva Marie (David) Snyder; grandchildren, Suzanne (Pete) Hostrawser and Dr. Eric (Rachel) Snyder; great-grandchildren, Henry and Audrey Hostrawser; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Friday. Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Friday after visitation with Pastor John Cervone officiating at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Assoc. or The American Diabetes Association.
