Robert Jay Peterson

Robert J. Peterson, 80, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2024.
Robert was born in Deerfield, OH to the late Donald and Marion (Sutcliffe) Peterson on October 26, 1943. He resided in the Akron area most of his life. He was a graduate of Southeast High School class of '61, and was an Army veteran. He worked at the Ruscoe Company as an accountant and retired after 50 years. He was very blessed to have such a wonderful work family. He was an avid sports fan, anything Ohio that is.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marian (Sutcliffe) Peterson; brothers Jerry and Eddie Peterson; brother-in-law Carl (Gene) Wolverton; Partner Vern Durkee; niece Diane; and nephews Eddie Peterson and Carl (Rab) Wolverton. 
He is survived by his brother, Donald (Michelle) Peterson; sister, Marilynn (Carl) Peterson-Wolverton and niece, Debra Gabriel. He also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. 
There will be no funeral service per Robert's request. A graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held for close family and friends at a later date.
