Ronald Eugene France

Ronald Eugene France, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Ronald, or Ron as he was known to family and friends, was born Wednesday, February 20, 1952 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Roland and Rose (Yacovazzi) France and lived in the Akron area for most of his life. He was a graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School.

He is survived by his son, Luke France (Brandie Patterson), granddaughters Sophia and Harper; and his sister, Cathy France (Reese) as well as nephews Todd and Brent Ellebruch, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Ron worked for many years at Metzger Photo Supply in Akron before changing careers and working for the Summit DD and retiring from there after 20+ years of dedicated service. He was a man of great faith and a devout Catholic. Ron’s passion was music. He loved to play all manner of instruments and he loved to sing. His love of music was rivaled only by his love of photography. He spent countless hours photographing anything that caught his eye and his photos really captured the essence of the subject. He was also an accomplished woodworker and loved to try his hand at any and all hobbies that crossed his path over the years. He loved a good film, a good book, and a good cup of coffee. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
