Ronald E. Penn

Ronald Eugene Penn of Akron went home to be with the Lord December 15 2023 at the age of 89.  Well done good and faithful servant.  Ronnie was born January 11, 1934 in Akron Ohio where he spent all of his life.  At a young age he developed a love of baseball and played up till he was in his seventies.  He graduated from East High school in where he met the love of his life Patricia Ann Penn and had a wonderful marriage of 52 years before Patty left the world to go to heaven.  Ron joined the Akron fire department and spent the next 30 years serving the public,  After retiring he was able to spend more time watching football and rooting on his favorite football team.  GO BUCKS.  Nicked named "The Can Man" Ron volunteered at the Haven of Rest for many years. 

Preceeded in death by his wife Patty; son, Michael; grandchildren, Corey and Todd.  He is survived by his children, Dave and Sue Penn, and Sherri and Bill Fox; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.   

Services will be held December 21, 2023 at Community Church of Portage Lakes from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
