Ruth L. Johnsen

Ruth L Johnsen, 92, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1931 in Salina, Kansas to the late Robert and Margaret (Cooley) Tinkler and lived in the Norton area most of her life. She had been a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing golf and vegetable and flower gardening.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Sigurd R. Johnsen, brothers, Lawrence Tinkler, Boyd Tinkler, Neal Tinkler, Dwight Tinkler, Russell Tinkler; and sister, Arlene Munson.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Beth) Johnsen, Ron (Barbara) Johnsen, Dave (Sheri) Johnsen; grandchildren, Adam (Chelsea) Johnsen, Marie (Brad) Clark, Deaveon (Jose) Monterrosa; extended family, Crystal (Aaron) Haydo, Christina (Bob) Koch, Mike (Kristen) Hammock, Denise (Matt) Clayton, Bobby (Claire)  Hammock, Allysa Vaughn, and Scott Diabo; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
     
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton, OH 44203.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
