Sandra May Evans

   Sandra (Sandy or Sonnie to close friends) Evans, 89 was born in Akron Ohio to Wilda and Stanley McFarren on January 17, 1933 and passed away on July 26, 2022. 

   Sandra was a lifelong resident of Coventry Township Ohio, never leaving the area. Her early life was spent enjoying her friends in the Portage Lakes and she participated in many local activities including boating and general recreation at the lakes. Sandra was an active member of the Portage Lakes Historical Society and was avid golfer. She attended and graduated from the Coventry school system.

   She retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife. 

   Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, George Evans.  She is survived by her beloved son, Paul (Kelly) Evans, cherished grandson, Aaron Evans; cousin, Diane Sullivan; along with her two adoring kitties that accompanied her to the end.

   A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, Oh 44319 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one half hour prior. Interment will be held at Lockwood Cemetery immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater East Ohio Chapter, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Ste.201, Hudson, OH 44236, in memory of Sandra Evans.
