Sandra Lea Reeves

Sandra L. Reeves, 70, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023. Sandy was born on Tuesday, November 4, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to the late Eber and Hazel (Bosley) Grindley and lived in the New Franklin area most of her life. She found great joy in serving the students and families while working in the office at Chapel Hill Christian School for as long as her health allowed. Sandy was a faithful member of The Chapel in Green where she and her husband, Larry, taught Sunday School together for many years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and beloved poodles, Lacy and Jameson.

Sandy was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jennifer Reeves; sister, Donna Sontos; and her cousin, Carla Thomas.  

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry; daughters, Melissa (David) Croy, and Kim Reeves; grandchildren, Eli, and soon to arrive, Isaiah; niece, Marie Stover; great-niece, Suzanne (Alex) Goellner; great-nephew, Jonathan Stover;  and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at The Chapel in Green, 1800 Raber Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685, with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
