Stella M. Sanker

Stella M. Sanker, 89, passed away peacefully, June 22, at the Hospice of VNS, Ridgewood Rd. She was born in Akron where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Jennings Mother Singers, the Polish-American Club, and volunteered at Patterson Park, Saint Thomas Hospital, and many other North-Hill neighborhood organizations. Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis P. (Frank) Sanker. Mrs. Sanker is survived by sons, Bill (Miriam) Sanker of Virginia Beach and Bob (D'Ann) Sanker of Akron; grandchildren, John, Jason and Scott Sanker, Erin Sanker Barbetta, Mimi Zerr, Sheri Coker, Rachelle, Megan and Amanda Campbell; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON from 6 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday with a memorial service at 8:00 pm that same evening.
