"BOMBOMV" Steven Dale Valentine, 60, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023.
Steven was born Thursday, August 16, 1962 and graduated from Buchtel High School, class of 1982, attended the University of Akron and lived in the Akron area all of his life. 
Steven retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and GM Motors and worked security for Akron Public Schools.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, St. Anthony Catholic Church, Mystic Knights drum core, AL-KAF, and the Knights of Columbus. He loved coaching basketball at St. Anthony Catholic Church and at Our Lady of the Elms, being the Drum Captain of the AL-KAF youth group, bowling, Prince, Michigan Wolverines and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was a 3rd degree black belt and instructor at The American Karate Academy Studios.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, William Valentine; sister, Sharon Jean Valentine, and brothers, Robert and Michael Valentine.  He is survived by his mother, Barbara Valentine; daughters, Angel Valentine, and Latoya (Shawn) Robertson; brothers, William III, Raymond and Reppond Valentine; honorary brothers, Lee Harris and Ron Schuler; family friend, Brenda Chenault; sister-in-law, Deniece Valentine; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, 11:00 am at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1180 Slosson St., Akron, OH 44320.  Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main St., Akron, OH 44310 and 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.
