Thomas K. Middour, a devoted family man, avid car enthusiast, and highly respected individual, passed away on January 10, 2024, in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. He was born on August 27, 1946, in Akron to his loving parents Sanford and Irene (Simmons) Middour. Thomas leaves behind a legacy defined by his remarkable career, cherished hobbies, and lasting relationships.
Throughout his impressive career, Thomas dedicated himself to the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., where he showcased unwavering dedication and expertise. Following this endeavor, he continued to make significant contributions as an employee of East Ohio Gas/Dominion for 27 years. His commitment to excellence resonated with colleagues and clients alike, leaving an indelible mark on the industries he served.
Thomas' passions extended far beyond the workplace. As a proud member of the Mustang Club of America and The Magic City Cruisers, he found solace and excitement in the automotive world. The roar of engines and the sleek designs captured his imagination, making every drive an exhilarating adventure. Additionally, Thomas' profound faith led him to become a longtime member of Grace Church (Norton Campus) and Valley Community Church. His spirituality guided him throughout his life's journey and provided solace during difficult times.
To say that Thomas loved camping would be an understatement; it was truly a way of life for him.  He enjoyed the Holiday Campland Community in Andover, Ohio, creating countless cherished memories with family and friends. Thomas embraced nature wholeheartedly.
Thomas' zest for life was best illuminated by his deep love for his family. Married to Helen Middour for over 55 beautiful years, their bond stood as a testament to unwavering commitment and unconditional love. Together they built a nurturing home filled with laughter, shared dreams, and immeasurable love. Thomas' daughters, Laura (Richard) Myers, Nancy Kshywonis, and Linda (Gary) Queen, were his pride and joy. Their happiness and accomplishments brought him immeasurable pride.
Thomas adored his grandchildren, Rose (Matthew), Stephanie, Anna, and Abigail. Their presence filled his days with joy and laughter, making every moment together priceless. Moreover, the arrival of his great-granddaughter Nora brought an additional sparkle to his eyes.
Thomas leaves behind sister Dottie (Jim) Barkley. They shared many fond memories and provided each other with unwavering support throughout their lives.  In addition to his immediate family, Thomas will be deeply missed by numerous other loving relatives and friends who were touched by his genuine kindness and warm spirit.
Along with his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brother Sandy Middour and sister Hazel Snyder.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Grace Church - Norton Campus, 3970 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd., Norton, Ohio 44203, with Pastor Bob Combs Officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Grace Church - Norton Campus.  Thomas' final resting place will be Hillside Memorial Park.
