Traute Maria Gartner
Traute was born Thursday, August 23, 1934 to the late Hans and Dora (Engleman) Kratz in Berlin, Germany and moved to the Akron area in 1956. She owned Gartner Barber and Beauty Shop with her husband. Traute was a member of the German-American Family Society in Brimfield. She was a avid shopper and went to the stores everyday.
In addition to her parents, Traute was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gartner. She is survived by her daughter, Heidi M Gartner; sons, Hans (Cindy) Vance, Frank (Betty) Vance, Richard (Jackie) Vance; grandchildren, Chenille, Hans (Pam), John, Danielle, Spencer, Taylor; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Hans, Nathan, Bella, Abby; great-great-grandchild, Sophia; sister, Suzi King; and many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2024, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Memorial Service will be 6:00 pm, Friday, April 12, 2024 at the funeral home, with Pastor Amy Downard Officiating.
