Velia Finelli

Velia Finelli, 96, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. She was born on Friday, October 8, 1926 in Carovilli, Italy to the late Mario and Maddalena (Carano) Riccillo arriving in North Hill in 1967, and had spent her later years in Cuyahoga Falls. She was a faithful member of St Anthony's Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling, gardening and spending time loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Velia was preceded in death by her husband, Gino Giuseppe Finelli.  She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Finelli, Silvana (Dave) Sensius, Milena Finelli; son, Mario (Vicki) Finelli; grandchildren, Andrea, Jessica, Brandon, Joe, Louis, Lucas, Marissa; great-grandchildren, Velia, Gary, Aria, and Zane; and many other loving family and friends.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron, OH 44310.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio 44310.  Velia's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
