William R. “Red” Lockhart, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Sun City Center, Florida on February 9, 2021. He was born April 4, 1945 in Akron to the late John and Verbia Lockhart. Growing up in Firestone Park he was a 1963 high school graduate of Garfield High.
Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles back in the day and loved going to Daytona Beach for bike week. He was also an avid collector of guns. He retired from many years of truck driving in 2010.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Verbia Lockhart; and sister, Sandra Meehan. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janice “Jan”; son, William D. (Cindi) Lockhart; grandson, William Russell “Rusty” Lockhart; niece, Emily (Jamie) Cronander; and many cousins.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Bill to the Alzheimer’s Association.
