William C. Tisen Jr., 76, passd away Jan. 4, 2008. Born in Akron to the late William C. and Mary E. (Vanorsdale) Sr. on July 28, 1931, Bill lived in Cuyahoga Falls all of his life. He worked as a mechanic for Akron Transmission and served in the Korean War in the Marine Corps. where he received a purple heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 281 and VFW Post 3294. Bill was also an avid fisherman and was the first blind man in the area to overhaul transmissions. Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife, Delores. He is survived by his sons, William R. Tisen of Akron and Daniel C. Tisen of Lawrence, PA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha (Frank) Comeriato of NC and Donna (Chuck) Ellis of GA; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 am at the HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON with Pastor Mike Gorrell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Bill's final resting place will be Northlawn Memorial Gardens. HENNESSY-BAGNOLI LOGO
