Wyona June Finnie

Wyona "June" Finnie, 78 passed away at her home after a series of illnesses. Born in Louisville, KY to the late Omer and Mary (Liggett) VanHook on July 9, 1928, June lived in the Cuyahoga Falls and Akron areas most of her life. She was also a past member of Jappa Lodge and their Lady's Caldron. Along with her parents, June is preceded in death by her sisters, Christina Liska and Shirley VanHook. She is survived by her husband, Joseph of 64 years; sons, Joseph W. (Debbie), Danny (Sandy) and Peter; daughters, Susan Johnston, Daisy (Charlie) Hartline, Peggy DeHarpart and Julie (Rod) Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Joanne) and Mike (Janie) VanHook; sisters, Beverly (Bill) Sizemore and Mary Lou Ruggles; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 am at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home and ONE-HOUR PRIOR to service time on Monday. June's final resting place will be Rose Hill Burial Park.
